They have a wide waistband and gathered legs that come down into a soft cuff just below the knee. 

Cute with any summer tank or crop, these are very popular with yoga teachers and practitioners due to the cuff and looser leg. They allow ease of movement without the typical tight legging, but the cuff keeps the pants where they should be for any inverted poses!
