Hemp was the first plant used for textiles, and isn't anything new! This wonderful plant has been grown since 8000 BC. Hemp is the common name used for Cannabis plants that are grown primarily for their fiber content which can be utilized for a variety of purposes (from textiles, to fuels, to foods for humans and animals alike). However, nearly a century of misinformation and competing industrial interests have left this truly valuable crop in the shadows.

Hemp fiber is antimicrobial, anti-mildew and provides Ultra Violet (UV) protection from the sun, with a natural UV Factor of SPF 15. One of the strongest, most durable and ecologically friendly fabrics, hemp is an extremely fast growing crop, producing more fiber per yield of acre than any other source, and can be grown without the need of harmful herbicides and pesticides or irrigation. Hemp clothing insulates and breathes, helping you stay cool in summer, and warm in winter.

Bamboo is a natural textile made from the pulp of bamboo grass.

The Bamboo used to produce fabrics is easily replenished and is 100% naturally grown—without assistance from humans! Bamboo is considered one of the most sustainable plants because it grows quickly and does not require chemicals, pesticides, fertilizers or irrigation, and biodegrades more quickly than oil-based synthetics.

Bamboo is an excellent choice for clothing—not only better for the environment, but also better for you! Breathable, naturally anti-static, and comfortably soft.

Bamboo rayon is made by dissolving pulp bamboo into its cellulose component and then spun into viscose fibers. Clothing made of bamboo rayon typically lasts even longer and holds its shape even better than clothing made of simple bamboo fibers.

We are 100% body positive, and carry clothes to fit all sizes up to 3X.

We strongly believe that body size should not stop you from shopping with friends!

If we don't have your size in stock, talk to us, and we'll get you sorted.

We work with many talented Canadian designers, with an emphasis on West Coast designers and ethical production.

Many of our designers produce locally on Vancouver Island, or on the Lower Mainland of BC. Some have developed ethical factories or fair trade partnerships overseas.
