The print begins with two exquisite 18th-century Japanese ink-on-silk scrolls, each painted with wild plum blossoms, peach trees, magpies, and a luminous moon. The printed trim comes from fragments of early 19th-century French silk embroidery, while the delicate sleeve pattern echoes block-printed French papers from the same era.
