Map of My Heart Cropped Starduster
Crafted from an original 1846 print from New York titled “A Map of the Open Country of a Woman’s Heart,” this piece offers a fanciful imagining of the intricate landscape of a woman's heart, cleverly depicted as a map. The concept is captivating, but Danielle sought to infuse her own sentiments into the design. In this pursuit, she replaced some of the original place names such as "Land of Fickleness" and "Land of Vanity" with expressions that resonated, like "Land of Strength" and "Region of Reckless Joy." Yet, she chose to preserve certain phrases from the original, like "District of Love" and "Land of Love of Dress" because, after all, fashion remains a timeless affair.
Crafted from 100% bamboo/wood viscose, this piece invites ease of care with a gentle machine wash or handwash, followed by a leisurely hang to dry. Should you desire a polished finish, a light ironing will suffice.
