Courage, Dear Heart Atelier Skirt
The Atelier Skirt was inspired by an antique French skirt discovered in a sunlit flea market. Time had left it too delicate to wear, but its romance and charm were impossible to forget. This design is a love letter to that treasured find, reimagined for modern life while holding onto its old-world spirit.
Designer Danielle also drew inspiration from childhood walks through the woods, where wildflowers seemed like tiny fairy skirts left behind after midnight dances. The softly flounced hem captures that same sense of movement, while delicate ties can be left loose for an easy bohemian feel or tied into sweet little bows for a touch of vintage French charm.
An elastic waistband with an adjustable drawstring creates a comfortable, flattering fit across a range of body shapes, and yes... it has pockets, because every great skirt should.
Crafted from soft, breathable plant-based viscose, the Atelier Skirt flows beautifully with every step. It's the kind of piece you'll reach for on slow mornings, market days, weekend adventures, and evenings when you simply feel like wearing something that makes you smile.
About the Print
The Take Heart print was created as a reminder to hold onto love, faith, and courage, especially when life feels uncertain.
Using carefully restored artwork from the 1800s—including Victorian floral wreaths, elegant fountains, and an 1878 hand-coloured Sacred Heart illustration—this richly layered print is filled with meaningful details waiting to be discovered.
Hidden throughout the artwork are the words "Love is an arrow, aim true" and "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also," serving as quiet reminders of hope and resilience. Along the trim you'll find the words "Courage, dear heart," inspired by the beloved writings of C.S. Lewis.
